Default the thesis statement

rewrite the following factual statements to make them effective thesis statement.make sure each thesis statement is a clearly and specifically worded sentence.

1.A number of hospitals have refused to admit patients without health insurance because they fear that such patients do not have the resources to pay their bills.

2.Several recent Supreme Court decisions say that art containing a sexual theme is not necessarily pornographic.

3. many women earn less money than men do, in part because they drop out of the workforce during their child-rearing years.

4. People who watch more than five hours of television a day tend to think the world is more violent than do people who watch less than two hours of television daily.

5. in recent years, the rate of suicide among teenagers-especially middle and upper-middle-class teenagers-has risen dramatically.

can you give me the thesis statement for each one?

You have to decide what your position is on each. With number one, do you think this is a good idea or a bad one? Once you have decided this, then you can make your statement.

EG

Refusal to admit hospital patients without health insurance to avoid incurring unrecoverable expenses is inhumane and goes against the duty of the medical profession towards those in need of care.
(Negative)
Refusal to admit hospital patients without health insurance to avoid incurring unrecoverable expenses is a harsh but necessary decision that is required to ensure the financial stability of a hospital.
(Positive)
