Default Meaning of "apiece"

"For a presentation, we(two advisors) would need to charge US$ 600 apiece."
In the sentence above, does the expression US$ 600 apiece mean US$ 600 for each presentation, or does it mean the organiser charged US$600 for each advisor?
Thanks for helping.

Nice one - it really could be either. However, I think they mean each person charges the fee. If I received this from an organiser of a conference, I would immediately be asking the same question

Hi Alal,
Yes...a difficult one! I agree with Anglika's reply though, because it speaks of "a" presentation.
