Default Can I ask about some these transformations?

These are some transformations my younger sister has asked me. Some tasks I've done but I don't know whether they are right or wrong. So I hope you can help me to deal with them (--> means my answer)

---> There has not been a political scandal of this kind since its last 50 years ago.
3. They'll have to take the dog on holiday with them. (behind)
---> They will not leave the dog behind on holiday.
4. The girl's behavior was incomprehensible to the Head Teacher. (loss)
---> The girl's behavior was a loss of comprehension to the Head Teacher.
5. The new ambassador is well-informed about current affairs. (wide)
6. They were brought up in a conventional, middle-class way. (theirs)
7. It was Derek who pointed the mistake out to me. (attention)
8. They were on the point of canceling the match when the opposition arrived (call)
9. One essay is just as bad as the other. (choose)
---> There is nothing to choose between the two bad essays.
10.There is less chance that Olsen will become champion after his recent defeat (blow)
---> His recent defeat is a blow to his chance of becoming champion.
Task II: Rewrite the origin sentence beginning with the word given:
1. Bill had had the wireless repaired. (Bill had arranged....)
---> Bill had arranged the wireless to be repaired.
or ---> Bill had arranged someone to repair the wireless.
2. With the money he has saved, he can buy a house. (His savings can...)
---> His savings can be enough for him to buy a house.

Hope you can help me.
Thanks so much in advance.

Yes, thanks. I've made some corrections in my answers. I think they would be more exact. I wish you could tell me whether they are right. Here are some:
I/Task 1:
1. After the scandal he was asked to hand in his resignation.
2. It's been 50 years since the last political scandal of this kind took place.
3. They will not leave the dog behind when they go on holiday.
4. The Head Teacher was at a loss to understand the girl's behavior.
5. The new ambassador has wide information about current affairs.
6. Theirs was a conventional, middle-class way of being brought up.
7. It was Derek who paid attention to my mistakes.
8. They were about to call off the match when the oppositon arrived.

10. Olsen's recent defeat is a blow to his chances of becoming champion.
II/Task 2:
1.
Bill had arranged for the wireless to be repaired.
2.
His savings can afford a house.

Thanks in advance.
Linh
