You have to learn the difficult skill of being kind and polite without being trash.


I try to grasp the meaning of the first version by rendering it as the second. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

You're almost there Angli,

One has to learn the difficult skill of being polite and pleasant, without allowing people to "walk all over you" or "take advantage of you.
