Default What does the phrase "have it so good" mean?

Dear teachers
I came across the phrase "have it so good" in the sentence: "Why do we never have it so good?" But I can't understand what this phrase means. Can you kindly help me to explain this?
Thanks in advance.
Linh

The phrase might be used when we are feeling envious of another person's more fortunate situation. So, in your sentence, the person is commenting that they do not have some benefit or some circumstance that makes some third person's life easier in some way.
