I've heard the phrase" dance class" and " dancing class" but are they really different? What's the difference between "dance" and "dancing"?
"Dance Class" refers to a class or lesson in which you learn to dance and thus better than dancing class. Dancing class could also be right and used in some specific areas of the world but I've never heard it said the way you mentioned.

"dance class" indicates that this is a class specifically for teaching dancing to a high level of artistry, and probably run by a professional dance teacher. Those in the class may go on to become professional dancers themselves.
"dancing class" suggests some learning situation which is more informal, where people might get together to learn to dance competently, but also for the fun of it. It is probably run in a more light-hearted fun way as well.
I took those examples from Oxford dictionary. Not to mention the real difference between "dance" and "dancing"+class, how about "dance" and " dancing" when they use alone, in general.? Do they have different meanings?

It still depends on the use and situation. In what context do you want to use them?
