Default to meet and to have met
What is the difference between "It is nice to meet you" and "It is nice to have met you"? Can we use either of them when we meet a person?

"It is nice to meet you" is what you would say at the time of meeting the person, and "It is nice to have met you" is what you would say as you are saying goodbye to the person.
