my wife,son and daughter
Is it OK to say I live with my wife, son and daughter or do i have to put 'my' before each member I live with my wife,my son and my daughter. Is it the same with articles? is it enough to put a definite article only before the first word... the books, pensils, pens and the notebooks
Please,help...thanks

Re: my wife,son and daughter
If your wife is the mother of your son and daughter then you could say I live with my wife and our son and daughter. Or just as you have said. If you put my in front of son and daughter then it implies that your wife is not their mother. But I think I may be over pedantic

I agree with curmudgeon but I will make a small correction to his sentence to eliminate the awkwardness of having two "ands" so close together.
I live with my wife along with our son and daughter.
