Can 'whose' be applied to an object, for example:
"the PCs whose activity you wish to monitor"

To say "the PCs, the activity of which, you wish to monitor" or "the PCs for which you wish to monitor activity" both seem to flow less well.

I think you will commonly hear it used - primarily because the more formal "of which" is not used much in speech.
