I would like to ask native speakers of English.
Community isn't so much a place as it is a state of mind. You find it whenever folks ask how you're doing because they care, and not because they are getting paid to inquire.
What does it stand for? First, I thought it means the frist sentence but now I think it means "because they care, and not because they are getting paid to inquire."
What would you think about it?
Thank you very much.
"it" refers back to " community" :
Community isn't just a place.
Community is a state of mind.
You find (the feeling, the sense of being part of a) community whenever folks ask how you're doing because they care, and not because they are getting paid to inquire.
Thank you very much, David L.![]()
