Default Christmas

When we are talking about Christmas, we refer to Christmas in singular or in plural? I mean, should we say "Christmas are..." or "Christmas is...". Right now, I'm kind of confused with the Spanish word and the way we use it...
Any help would be grateful! Thanks!

I think Christmas is only once. Therefore, there is no plural, however don`t take my words by all parcentage. English is my second language so I might be right or wrong, though I have been wrong before as human being.
