I've met so many times the cases of using "will be ~ing" like above example, "will be paying"

would "will pay" has same meaning? What is the difference?

He wanted to emphasize the ongoing nature of it, which would not be captured with a simple "will pay." If you use "will pay," it sounds like they will pay for it once, and it will be over, instead of paying and paying and paying for years.
