Default please help me with this question

Let's practice.
Go ahead and practice the steps reviewed, keeping in mind that some of the steps may be performed for you.

the parapraph above appears in a context of introducing Windows Vista environment. Can you tell me what it means by "performed for you"? does it mean some steps may have already been performed before you practice?

It means some of the steps are done automatically for you, though probably in a real life session you would have to do these steps manually.

Great practice, eh! But then it is Microsoft...
