Goog Grammar Book

Hi

My first language is Portuguese and I have difficult in writing phrases, paragraphs, and essays in English. I need a good grammar book that could help me to communicate better. A book with rules and tips showing how/why English grammar works. Could you please help me?

by amy tickle
published by the harpercollins concise handbook for writers
isbn: 0065020227

is a very good book it has lots of examples and explaination
The University Of British Columbia uses this book

however, this book is out of print but i am very sure you can get it off the internet
