The climate style in this area is beneficial to develop agriculture and farming.
The above sounds lame to me, but I'm not so sure how to reword it. Your suggestion? Thanks.
The climate of this region is...to the development of agriculture OR farming [the words are essentially synonymous]
Thanks, Anglika.
As a aside, why do you use region instead of area? Doesn't area work in the context? If not, why not?
It's because there wasn't more context. If your sentence referred [say] to a specific part of China by name, I would use "area". Without that, it becomes more general, so I selected "region".
Thanks, Angika.
