Smile control most trade/s

Not everyone greets globalization with joy. Some say it only benefits rich countries, which control most trade/s.

Should I use trade or trades, and why? Thanks.

I would say:

Some say it only benefits rich countries, which control most of the trade.

As far as "trade" goes it is an uncountable noun here. There is no plural in this context.

If you were talking about "trade" in the context of occupations, then there would be a plural form.

The local college offers apprenticeship programs in most of the building trades.
