Ju is on a distinguished road
Red face Name of a fire fighting equipment (URGENT)

May I know the proper name of one kind of official fire fighting equipment with description stated below.

It looks like a mop with something soft (a bunch of long soft strips) fixed at the end of a rod for putting out the hill fire. Firemen normally hold onto the rod, hitting /beating the fire with that long soft strips to kill the hill fire.

Shall I say it a 'fire hitter' or 'fire beater' (I was told either one will be the correct answer)?

Many thanks.

I haven't ever heard of it called "fire hitter". The term I am most familiar with, especially from reports on TV of firemen fighting bush and forest fires, is "fire beater".
