Default is born/is inherited

I believe every person in the world, whether male or female, is born with a good character.

Can I replace "is born" with "is inherited" in this sentence?

I think I can because "inherited" means "basically".

Your last sentence seems incomplete.

Gary,
I think you're mixing up your words a bit. I think the word you were looking for was "inherent" and not inherited, which means something completely different!

So you could say "I believe every person in the world, whether male or female, has (or is born with) inherent good character.

Moggy
