DOubt in usage
Hi,
We generally say :
The council was unanimous.
The council were divided.
Now when we use the idiom ' at sixes and sevens', how do we use it?
Which is correct?
The council were at sixes and sevens.
The council was at sixes and sevens.
Thanks,
-
