Help about two phrases
Reuters has sailed on serenely, pegged to the terms of a cash-and-share deal the chief executive agreed with Thomson of Candada back in May.
Can someone explain the meaning of the phrases with bule? Thanks

Re: Help about two phrases
Welcome to the forums.
"sailed on serenely" = metaphor saying that Reuters has not had to alter its way of doing things.
"pegged to the terms" = the terms of the deal agreed are fixed/unchangeable.
