The only word I can thik of which could go there, would be the gutter press, but according to the exercise it must be the name of a colour? Any ideas? | Ron's right, we say the 'yellow press', although it's getting rather old fashioned. The only person I know who uses it as a term is in her sixties.
We also say 'red-tops' for the British tabloid newspapers. |
