| I read a couple of articles mentioning the three-finger boy scout salute, here is some of them: The Boy Scout Sign is the middle three fingers raised and the tips of the pinky finger and thumb joined, with shoulder and elbow at right angles. The Boy Scout Salute is the the hand held in the same position as in the Boy Scout Sign, with the pointer touching the forehead or hat brim. This is similar to the salute used by militaries around the world. Actually it’s a weird three-finger thing for the BSA (Boy Scouts of America). Cub scouts do the two finger thing. The researchers found that wild chimps learn specific hand gestures. "It's like the boy scouts having a three-finger salute and the cub scouts having a two-finger salute," says McGrew. http://www.brainyencyclopedia.com/en...f_america.html http://www.military-quotes.com/forum...pic.php?t=2168 http://www.newscientist.com/conferen...mp;id=22863000 |

| Well, Mike you are also right since the cub scout use a two-finger salute. So I guess the three finger wave/salute means a friendly greeting or gesture. |
