Dear teacher:
Can you please tell me what "three finger wave/solute" means? Which three fingers are used?
It is a computer term.
Three finger salute:
Slang used to describe the IBM PC compatible three key sequence Alt + Ctrl + Del developed by David Bradley. This term became popular after IBM PC compatible users had to continually press these keys each time their computers froze or had other issues.

Thanks for your help Henry. But there's got to be another meaning. I got the phase from a novel:
She gave her neighbor a three-finger wave, then backed out onto the street and zipped past him before he could flag her down.

I'm not sure- we have a two-finger salute in the UK, which is a rude sign meaning 'f*** off', made with the index finger and the middle finger (the opposite of the victory sign).
