hi,
I've read an article and there is a paragraph with title "Customer Mix". I have no idea what "mix" means in here. and this paragraph says three things:
the customer of the company are domestic and international furniture stores, retailers, wholesalers;
sales are transacted in different currencies, such as the US Dollar ($), Euro (€), and the British Pound (£), because the customers are located in various countries or regions;
the company primarily sells to customers located within the United States. European customers are handled by its subsidiary.
can anyone explain to me the meaning of "mix"? thanks!
In this case, "mix" is used in the colloquial sense of "a group of persons of different types." (Concise Oxford Dictionary) The writer describes the variety of customers. Some customers are domestic; other customers come from outside the nation. Some customers are retailers; others are wholesalers. Therefore, the company works with a variety of types of customers. In other words, the company works with a mixture of customers.
now i understand. thank you very much!
