    Default two questions

Sometimes shareholders of the company request to view the transactional reports and financial reports in foreign currencies other than the currency that is used for trading.

i have two questions about this sentence.
first, the usage of "A other than B" usually means B is included or not included? that is, "not only A, but also B", or "A but not B"?
another question is, what means the report in one currency? for example, "transactional report in US Dollars"?

    1. In your example sentence "other than" means -

foreign currencies not including the currency used for trading

    so A not including B

    2. Your second question doesn't seem to relate to the example given and without the context I cannot be 100% certain but I would say your suggestion "transactional report in US Dollars" is correct.

    Let us simplify this

I like most types of fruit other than apples.

    0ther than means except for.

I like most types of fruit except for apples.

    So in your sentence

Sometimes shareholders of the company request to view the transactional reports and financial reports in foreign currencies except for the currency that is used for trading.

"except for" isn't the best choice here but it does help to understand what "other than" means here.

Normally the shareholders see these reports in the currency that the stock is traded in, for example US dollars. However, there are times when the shareholders want to see the reports in another currency, such as CDN dollars, British pounds or perhaps Euros.

So you could rewrite this sentence.

Sometimes shareholders of the company request to view the transactional reports and financial reports in CDN dollars, British pounds or Euros, even though the normal trading currency is US dollars.

Does this help you understand the original sentence?
