"a" or "an"
In the name of the Merciful Allah,
Hello, I really missed this forum and the people who helped me a lot. I ask about the difference between the next two phrases:" ...occurs about a half hour after..", and " ... occurs about a half an hour after..". Are both of them right, or not? If yes, what the difference? Thanks ahead.

There is no difference. I would normally say the first one.
The second may be used if I wanted to emphasize the time. I would put a minor stress on the "hour" in this case.
