    Default which or who

    Hi there,
    I don't know if I should use 'who' or 'which' to modify the word 'family'.
    Maybe the following sentence is not a good example.

    I belong to a family which OR who is Catholic and conservative

    Here's an English only google, exact phrase search;

    Results 1 - 10 of about 2,050,000 English pages for "a family who".

    Results 1 - 10 of about 1,790,000 English pages for "a family that".

    Results 1 - 10 of about 314,000 English pages for "a family which".

    Hi there,

    How about 'church', 'school', 'organisation??

    I think it is safe to use 'that' instead of 'which' or 'who' if we are not sure, right?
