Currently the US NAVY is deployed to Djibouti, Africa, and a group of women have tried to teach English to a girls' orphanage. None of us really know how to start a curriculum, and our staff changes every 6 months.

Is there anyway to standardize lessons and start with lesson plans? Some classes read out of a book; some classes are learning to write and read. . .the students are very bright and speak French, English, Arabic. We have broken the classes into Beginner 1, 2, 3, 4? and Intermediate.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. This is done on our free time/money.

I feel sure that some of the officers of the US Navy would be delighted to help you. Suggest you contact any ship in port and ask to speak to an officer. They may be able to supply you with some materials.
There is also much material on the internet - try a google search in English for "ESL scope and sequence". If you need Arabic-English material try the search in Arabic.
