Is the following sentence grammatically correct (the usage of AS IF):
The former one is politically incorrect (AS IF) the suspect under investigation is convicted without a fair trial and without a chance to prove innocence.

I think you are confused about what 'political incorrectness' is. What you are actually discussing is 'human rights' or 'lack of justice" as violated/disregarded/not bothered with, because this person was not given a fair trial. Another term would be 'a politically-motivated injustice'.
Also. if you are using the word 'former', then the previous sentence should have stated two things. You would then write, 'The former is ....'
As far as I can judge the meaning of the sentence, then 'as if' is not correct - you would use just 'as'.
