what's the difference between as soon as and when?

Default Re: use of when and as soon as

As soon as he came home = the moment he came home

As soon as you have finished eating, wash up your dishes = the moment you have finished eating...



When he came home = The unspecified time that he came home.

When you have finished eating... = After you have finished eating...
