As a footnote:

The line derives from a poem by Epimenides (6th century BC); the original of "slow bellies" is gastéres argaí, which means "idle stomachs", i.e. "lazy gluttons".

Another line from the same poem provides the phrase "in him we live, move, and have our being", in Acts 17.28: [en autôi] gàr zômen kaì kivoúmetha kaì esmén.
