There are several idioms relating silence with various things - both good and bad. On the good side, 'The squeaky wheel gets the oil' [If you want service, complain]; on the bad side 'Empty vessels make most noise' [Talking is often a sign of ignorance or an empty head]. But I don't know of one that expresses what you want; 'Spare your breath to cool your porridge' [don't waste energy on what doesn't matter, save it for something that does] comes close, but doesn't quite do it.

Re: expression for "the quieter you go, the further you reach"
Hello again,
... and thank you for your fast reply. In fact i am dealing with a translation from Polish (language i am not familiar with) and the translator gave the exact translation of the expression (see Subject). The expression means "you can gain more when keeping silent/ by not making noise..." and I'm supposed to find an equivalent in English
for an accurate translation.
So, if you have any other ideas, it would be great.

Off the top of my head I can come up with "softly softly, catchee monkey".

- That's a good one.
Correction - I've been thinking about that 'squeaky wheel' proverb; I think 'grease' is more common than 'oil'. The assonance of the /i:/ sound makes it more catchy.
