Smile the hot and steamy sauna

Helen really enjoyed sitting in the hot and steamy sauna.

If I say "the hot and steamy Finnish bath," do I lose some things from the above original?

You will lose clarity - "sauna" is immediately understood; "Finnish bath" is not a commonly used term.

Where I live, the sauna is the room with the very DRY heat and the steam room is the one with the steamy heat. I have no idea what a Finnish bath is.
