This doesn't sound like it came from a book that is appropriate for children.

Being "slutty" means acting in an extremely sexual manner. You can make your coffee naked, and that hardly makes you slutty.

No no! I think this is from "Bridget Jones' Diary," and it's BE usage - it just means to be a really poor housekeeper. Isn't that right, Anglika? Things like, say, eating while standing over the sink, putting out your cigarette in the coffee cup, leaving dirty clothes lying around. There was a trend of self-help books in the 90s, IIRC, directing single women to "create" a beautiful & luxurious life for themselves by little things like always setting a lovely place at the table, ironing pillowcases with lavender water, etc etc, even if they were alone. I'm pretty sure the author is spoofing this kind of thing with poor Bridget, who is so anxious to improve herself.

The only reason I remembered this passage is because I listened to BJD as an audiobook, and I can still hear the narrator saying this very phrase.
