I am always confused about whether article should come before certain words or not. For example, when I write
"Do let me know the following for the X project"
How do I know for sure that the "the" preceding following in the above sentence is indeed correct ?
Is there a quick check I can do to make sure that I have the right number of articles and at the right places ?
You do need the first "the"; the second "the" is optional, depending on whether you need to be specific about a particular project amongst several [when you need the article] or whether there is only that project [when you can omit it].
