Could I use studio to replace workshop in the above? Thanks.
Studio is normally used to describe a place where artists paint, or musicians record music for example. It could also be used for sculptors working with wood.
But, it's not used for places where things are made, workshop in this case takes on a meaning like "small factory" and is probably the best word to use. If you imagine Santa and his helper making the children's toys.
