Hi there,
Some residents buildings in New York City has a roof basketball playground.

OR

Some residents buildings in New York City has a basketball playground on the roof.

Which one is correct?

Some residential buildings in New York City have a basketball court on the roof.

Court is the usual term for where basketball is played.
