Falcon is on a distinguished road
Arrow Bias (?)

Hello everybody!

What does "bias" mean in those sentences?

1) Full automatic flare and touchdown capability is not available. Flare is not annunciated and stabiliser trim bias is not applied.

2) Deviation bar biases out of view and then returns to centred position.

P.S. : both sentences are regarding to aviation. "Stabiliser trim" is a device to keep planes stabilised and "deviation bar" as the name says itself, is a kind of bar to show to pilots whether the plane is stabilised or not.
What I know as bias, does not fit here...

Thanks for helping,

Falcon

thanks

Default Re: Bias (?)

"bias" is used here to indicate a deviation from the norm.
