Man is the head of the family, woman the neck that turns the head.

Hi there

this proverb expresses the negotiation of power between man and woman. Seemingly the head is at the top of the hierarchy , being atop the neck , but in reality it is the neck that moves the head. The "neck" influences the "head" to move in all directions.

The neck also supports the head, so in a family setup it shows the relationship that man and woman might have to each other.
