    Default embedded sentece

    Should embedded sentence be always in the past tense?

    I said I didn't like apples

    How about present perfect?Which one is correct?
    You haven't told me if you like apples
    You haven't told me if you liked apples

    No. You could say:
    You said I don't like apples.

    "You haven't told me if you like apples" makes more sense to me.
