    Default how to say...

    Good afternoon,

I have a problem with the translation of a just common Czech phrase ("s tím,že") which quickly describes usually this situation:

"We stop some activity now,but there is an implicit condition that we will continue some day or that something else will be done"

It was hard for me to find a translation, but I have found a verb form "provided".
So I compiled a sentence: "We stop now provided that the next meeting will be longer" for example.

Would you be so kind and correct my sentence?

    Thank you

    I would say something like:

Let's stop now and finish this at our next meeting.

Let's take a break and finish this tomorrow.

Let's stop and complete this at our next meeting when we will have more time.

The verb "to adjourn" means "to end [a meeting] now, and resume it at a later date".

"Well, we still have a lot to do, but it's getting late and I expect you all want to get home. Shall we adjourn this meeting until Wednesday?"
