job application letter

i want to write to a person who was my classmate 2 years ago to request a job,indeed he had told me whenever i finished my college, i can tell him about the job in his company,i'll finish my college in this month but i am not sure that he can remind me or not,and i dont know how to start my request,i'd appreciate it if answer me back and guid me.

Write him a "friendly letter" reminding him of your time together and his "request" thatyou let him know when you finished your training. Might be a good idea to include a photo of yourself.

Renew the friendship first. THEN ask abvout any "current job possibilities" with his company.
