Let alone that dry can also mean without alcohol, but obviously that does not apply to martini -- yet.
So, does a very dry martini have a lot of gin or does not taste sweet ?

The non-sweet dry applies to wine and wine derivatives. There are sweet and dry vermouths, though dry vermouth is used in martinis.
A dry martini has less vermouth than a standard martini. The driest possible martini experience is achieved by drinking straight gin or vodka while staring at a picture of the inventor of vermouth.
