#2 Presumably the medical terms:

Endemic = relating to disease that is constantly present, to greater or lesser extent, in a particular locality [from Greek "endemios" = native [en = in; demos = the people]

Epidemic = a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time [from Greek [epi = among; demos = the people]

Pandemic = (of a disease) prevalent over a whole country or large part of the world. [from Greek [pan=all; demos=the people].
