Not to my knowledge. I have not heard that before. Give us a sample sentence.

It's possible to use "pick up from someone" to convey taking on traits and habits, e.g

" Have you noticed that John rolls his eyes when he's irritated. He's picked that up from his dad, he does exactly the same thing!"

Meaning that John learned the habit of eye-rolling when feeling irritated from being around his father.
