Default random class

when taking an English course, i can choose having classes daily or weekly.

i can also call the teacher and set a class when i think it is needed. in this case, i will simply pay for the class i have.

how do you say in English these type of classes?

random classes?

thanks,
jc

Hi,

All the English classes I have are indeed private.

The difference here is that I may set a class whenever I want. I mean, I don't have a contract that determines the time between classes or the number of classes in a given period.

I simply contact the teacher and ask her to have a class because I have a few doubts that I would like to clarify.

I know it may sound weird but it's a common practice here, especially regarding language classes.

It’s a class that I may have eventually, according to my necessity and the teacher’s availability.

Don't you guys have anything similar in the UK?

Thanks

There may be a semantic problem here.

To me "class" indicates a group coming together for a lesson. If you are having private tuition/teaching/lessons, one to one, and want a special lesson to clarify something, then Extra Lesson/Extra Tuition would make sense to me in this context.
