Default Re: fruit or fruits

It can be both countable and uncountable.

The fruits of your labours are manifest. The results of what you have done.

The fruit on the tree is ripe. The specific product of that tree.

There are several different fruits used in this recipe. More than one kind of fruit

In the supermarket you can find many different kinds of fruit. Fruit as the generic item.
