dear all,

do you know which preposition is used with different kinds of shops?

should we say I buy at or in greengrocer's/ newsagent's/ supermarket/ baker's, etc.

and do we need article? definite or indefinite?

Usually, we buy things at the supermarket, newsagent etc.
However, we also buy things from them too.
We tend to use either the definite or indefinite article before the shop - doesn't matter which.
I get fish from a fishmonger's and I get fruit from the greengrocer's. Either article is acceptable.
