Default report

i have been asked to write a report, and I have 3 doubts, I would be grateful if someone could help me.

- however, there was not football pitch in the centre of the city
isnīt it better to put: however, there was not ANY football pitch in the centre of the city

- the organising comitee was very kind
was or were?

- There are some aspects that can/may/should be improved
What modal is better?

- the organising comittee was very kind
was or were? If you regard the committee as a single entity; however, if you regard the committee as a group of individuals, you can use "were".

- There are some aspects that can/may/should be improved
What modal is better? That will depend on your context.
can = it is probable
may = it is possible
should = imposes obligation
.
