Both are fine - one is saying that in future something will happen, the other says is happens now. I suspect it is the second that is wanted here.

Q2.The vast space was decorated with magnificent, bright and gay colours.
or
The vast space was decorated in magnificient, bright and gay colours. This would also be acceptable.

Q3.Which is correct?
1.Do not discuss the matter while I am away.

Do not discuss about the matter while I am away.

2.I go to school on foot everyday.
or
I go to school by foot everyday.

3.I was on the/a plane last night.
or
I was in the/a plane last night.
